I love this place,great building. always when Im near my heart is bleeding, it's too beautiful to be a fruit market!
Yes, it's a charming building, a little oasis in the middle of a lot of mediocrity.
But things are about to change - for better or worse? There are plans to move the Fruit & Veg market to a new greenfield site outside the city and to redevelop this whole area to include a Hotel, restaurants and shops as well as residential units. Just hope they get it right and not destroy something beautiful in the name of "progress".
p.s. Hope theres a few nice coffee shops in the plan!!
