I stumbled upon the Brocante Market quite by accident as I was strolling through the Liberties/Blackpits area of Dublin 8. It is an indoor market situated in Newmarket Square (which incidentally is not a Square or is even square shaped) and is actually very inconspicious from the outside. The market is a mix of old and antique furniture, bric-a-brac, collectables, a restaurant & coffee shop, organic food, etc. Old vinyl records, 1970's comics - it's all there!
I bought a map of Ireland for 50 cents which shows the 32 counties in different colours(colors). It was torn in the middle and a previous geographist had pencilled in train journey times to various provincial towns. Still - for 50 cents! The vendor said 'It's a bit damp, but you can dry it at the fire tonight'.
p.s. Brocante comes from the French word for Flea Market

Love it...
I would go there in a flash.
Great that no one questioned you
taking photos...
Goodness, I love places like that, and I swear that's my old pull-down kitchen cabinet that's on sale.
