Last week's glorious Spring weather has disappeared and this evening as I drove through County Laois the landscape looked decidedly Wintery. Menacing dark clouds raced across the skies threatening rain and a cool blustery wind made me feel more November than March.
Still, I can see the farmer has been busy - the hedgerows have been trimmed and the crops sowed. Spring will regain the upper-hand again soon!

It might be Spring here..
but it isn't bursting out
just yet... only a few flowers
blooming.
Beautifully dramatic.
Here it is sleet as I write this, so yes, our spring has been put a bit on hold too.;)

At the moment the sun is trying so hard to fight the clouds... it's lovely when it wins a few rounds. Still quite cool though.
The same thing has happened here. It is cold again and it looked like snow when I left work this afternoon. It is highly doubtful that we would get snow at this time of the year, although it did snow on April 1st one year.
