They are actually real live human "statues" Valerie, but they stand there every day completely motionless. Sometimes they jump suddenly and catch passersby completely by surprise. One of the three pedestrians in my photo thought they were statues as well, she said "Omg - one of them moved, I thought they were real!"

love the street performers, that is so cool. Thanks for the views of Ireland, can't wait to come back next year.
They were more ... I was going to say lifelike... than real statues. Gosh I think I'd better go and have a lie down....grins.
