Ringsend Road

Looking down Ringsend Road from Pearse Street and the Grand Canal bridge. On the right, the now derelict Boland's Flour Mills which were famously taken over by rebels during the Easter Rising against British rule in 1916. On the left some of the modern apartment blocks which surround the Grand Canal Dock.

Blogaire said...: Me too Valerie! Our boom years passed this one by, so sadly it will remain like this for a long time. I often reflect on the amount of empty buildings there are in our cities while so many people are homeless.; 20 April 2012 at 11:54
