I wish to visit Ireland one day. The travel agencies in my country organize 10-day trips to Scotland + Ireland. Your country is represented in my neighbourhood by "Irish Setters", adorable dogs! :-) (Yes, I'm a great dog lover!)
To borrow a phrase from our other topic (religion) - "a Prophet is never recognized in his own land", Irish Setters are quite rare in Ireland. In fact you are more likely to see see Alsatians, Boxers,Dobermans and Collies, etc.
A shame really, because they are a nice dog!
