That statue like person reminds me of the 'Diceman' Thom McGinty. Remember him? Has he been replaced or has he many imitators?

Can you please drop over to my second blog gaelikaasdiary.blogspot.com? I have nominated you for the 'Splash' award.

Liked both these pictures, made me feel as if I was back there. Wish I could return the gloves to M&S, one of them fell apart within a day.

Ah, we have a rainy, cold and windy day.;))
Love both shots though. Does anyone every ask you what you are photographing? Or object having their picture taken?

Thom has many imitators now Gaelikaa, but I still think he was the best. Both photos were taken in Henry Street, it's probably my favourite Street. I know I should venture over to Grafton Street more often, it is true though - there really is a north/south divide! Thanks so much for nominating me - but I am too shy.

I could see Valerie booking a 1p Ryanair flight to Dublin to return the gloves to M&S. That WOULD be a good excuse Valerie.

It is a dilemma Protege when you are photographing in public. You have to ask yourself do people mind being photographed. Generally street entertainers don't mind at all, they love being in the limelight and are being photographed all the time. I usually try to blend in with the tourists, sometimes the tourists think I am also a visitor and ask me to take their photo with their own camera. If I see someone looking away I don't snap them or don't use the photo. I photographed Native Americans performing in Henry Street yesterday and I am not sure if I should use it? Didn't they have a problem with photography upsetting spirits? They seemed a little wary ...
