Blessington Basin Birds

Blessington Street Basin is a haven for birds and they are probably the best fed in Dublin as many people go there every day just to feed them. Children especially love feeding the birds and the pigeons will actually eat out of their hands. In my collage (from top, clockwise) are pigeons, a Mallard, a Tufted Duck and (centre) a seagull. These are the most common, but there are many others. Indeed there is a large variety of wildlife there more of which I will feature later.
