I was walking in Manor Street when I noticed a plaque on the wall of a beautiful old terraced house which had been placed there by the Tourist Board and which was commemorating the fact that the poet Austin Clarke was born there. I am unfamiliar with his poetry but I remembered that my English Teacher once told us (many years ago at Secondary School) that some of Clarke's writings were banned by the Irish Censor. I don't know why this very fact didn't stir in rebelious youth an immediate interest in his writing?
Maybe now I will explore his poetry.

I follow this sentiment; I have never been big on poetry myself, although I used to recite it as a child in competitions.;)
Beautiful house.
