Lovely song and a amazing pictures; did you take those? In Ireland? I am not familiar with the singer.;)) Yesterday though I got to make an acquaintance with The Chieftains, introduced to me by my Irishman. I have to say, what an incredible music!:) Glad to be able to access your page again.;)
Welcome back Protege! I accidentally disabled access last night while trying to block a Spam type comment(someone trying to sell me cameras). The Chieftains are a well known traditional Irish music group, while The Dubliner's are an Irish folk music group who have also been popular here for many years - your Irishman will be familiar with them too. Sadly their main singer Ronnie Drew died earlier this year and "Love's Own Sweet Song" was on his last solo recording. I took the sunsets in the Murcia region of Espana, they are always amazing there!
Well, I'm familiar with Ronnie Drew & the Dubliners since my childhood and that song is part of the backdrop of my youth. It's the kind you'd hear your aunts singing at wedding - especially with a 'few on them'. Ronnie Drew's voice is a bit of an acquired taste like the Guinness, but once you acquire the taste for it, but once acquired, it is never lost. That was most enjoyable!
