The Four Courts

This historic building, on the banks of the river Liffey was designed by James Gandon and built around 1800. It is Ireland's main courts building - for now (see below)! It was destroyed during the Civil War but was rebuilt and reopened in 1932. Bullet holes from the fighting are still visible inside.
