St Audoen's Roman-Catholic Church

St Audoen's Catholic Church in High Street - not to be confused with the similarly named nearby Church of Ireland, was built between 1841 and 1846. At present it serves as the Polish Chaplaincy in Ireland. Despite the recession and the collapse of the building industry there are still tens of thousands of Polish people resident in this country and they gather here in large numbers for mass every Sunday.
